Sound horn
Marking missing
2014 | Marker Missing is the second part in the long-term project Sound horn about cities with a glorious industrial past that have been threatened by shrinkage and stagnation since that peak.

The almost neighboring cities of Almelo, Hengelo and Enschede had become prosperous due to the textile industry. That industry largely disappeared in the early 1970s. The university must curb the decline. How are these cities doing now? Do they find the way to recovery? Will they manage to work together?

The first part of Sound horn is Proceed with Caution. A document about the city of Rochester in the US that has become big and rich through the photography industry. The Kodak scientists invented digital photography but the management didn't like it. A blunder that broke the company - market leader in photography products - and put the city of Rochester and its residents in big trouble.
